Private Preschool Institution Tresnjober was founded in 2001. It is one of the first accredited kindergartens in our country. It has evolved from my professional and personal desire to deal with the prevention of many psychosomatic problems, which, unfortunately, arose to a greater extent in the 90’s. We wanted to offer children a healthy and serene environment in which they could spend their childhood.
At the beginning, Tresnjober gathered a smaller number of children. Even then, our program was based on giving an opportunity for children to discover the world around them, and their places therein and to accept diversities. We strived to teach them how to learn with ease in the hope that one day they would find jobs that they would love and to which they would be truly dedicated. However, that wasn’t an easy task, especially at that period of time. The situation with respect to social environment was such that all of us and particularly our children were exposed to many negative influences. Parents were worried and scared of economic and other uncertainties. Tresnjober has always built a partnership with parents and a family as a whole. Such an approach of ours was of particular significance during the first years of our work, when we and fewer Tresnjober kids were creating our healthy and smiling world in a cheerful way. We wanted to protect children from negative external influences and to offer them something new. We strived to create an environment in which children could develop their individual potential without being impeded but rather by being directed.
Our program and approach concerning work with children distinguished us from other private kindergartens. We did not want to be only a playground or babysitting facility. We did not put emphasis on luxurious space and toys, but rather on richness of our program and staff. We were focused on an intensive, relaxing and cheerful work with children. We have created various workshops – Fine Speech School, School of Good Manners, Travel around the World, Tradition and Mores, Preschool Program, Early English and French School, Ballet and Karate, music, art and dramatic workshops. By such an approach we have earned the trust of children and parents, which is important for further development and progress of every child enrolled in our institution, as well as of our preschool teachers and our institution as a whole.
By being committed, responsible and thorough, we strived to form the basis on which Tresnjober could be a credible partner to a family in upbringing and education of preschool children. We still adhere to that basis and make great and sustainable plans for the future thereon.
